"In an age where people are now literally falling over each other in the queue to be singers of the next synth band following the daily fads in the UK, this songwriter is different and has an alternative dream. This lady's dream is to be known for her songwriting abilities across all mediums from films to adverts and her name is Casee Wilson. A North London girl who now lives in the gorgeous & vast Yorkshire landscape, she creates beautiful songs that span nearly every genre out there. Grafting as a pianist & vocalist, she's managed to give heavy yet gentle nods towards her favourite artists - Ella Fitzgerald, Tori Amos, The Stones and Kate Bush amongst many more - in her production and song crafting. This lady has talent in buckets and you'll be hearing more of her throughout the years as she creeps into your TVs and Radio sets. "

Lyrics of the Week

Voodoo Violet

Deep in the Banewood, in the fading light
Mr Kinky's at the door singing "four to the floor", ooh girl I'll keep you up all night
Voodoo Violet's in the bedroom, with a knife in her hand
When the camera starts to roll she will devour your soul and send you off to Neverland

She's under your skin like velveteen and razorblades
Blowing your mind like angel dust and hand grenades
Although she seems cruel, her twisted ethics make some sort of sense
Voodoo Violet, your pain is no defence

Take a tip from an expert, there's nowhere to run
There's hoodoo magic everywhere, it's like a day at the fair, you might as well enjoy the fun
Voodoo Violet's on the warpath, you'll break or you'll bend
She'll take a chainsaw to your heart and then she'll rip you apart but you'll love her til the bitter end

She's under your skin like velveteen and razorblades
Blowing your mind like angel dust and hand grenades
Although she seems cruel, her twisted ethics make some sort of sense
Voodoo Violet, your pain is no defence

She's under your skin like velveteen and razorblades
Blowing your mind like angel dust and hand grenades
Although she seems cruel, her twisted ethics make some sort of sense
Voodoo Violet, your pain is no defence
