Casee's Music HQ are aware that the SofaGig is now well overdue. After a respectable mourning period for the loss of the video camera plans are afoot to recitify this situation as soon as possible. Watch this space.
Woe.
The video camera has passed away. I played, I sang, and nothing was recorded, and in fact no pulse could be found. This video camera had rung down the curtain and joined the choir invisible, and if it was pining for the fjords, it was doing it in a very deceased fashion.
Many apologies to those of you who I know were looking forward to the first ever SofaGig. The plan is to attempt to obtain a new video camera tomorrow (6th June) and Try Again.
Please watch this space.

Casee has announced her first incentive scheme since moving over to AKA music in November: For the believer who gets her to or past 1000 Euros, she will write a song on the subject of their choosing. She will repeat this every 1000 Euros, so that is potentially 50 songs! Written especially for you. This is an ongoing incentive with no expiry date - other than her reaching her target of 50,000 Euros, at which point, every person who has invested will receive a copy of the album made, signed and with their name on the credits. She is delighted to have reached 545 Euros so far and is enjoying her time on AKA greatly, as well as the extra opportunities for re-learning her GCSE French that it is affording her!
Taking Facebook, Sellaband and AKA music by storm is a cooperative of musicians, promoters and fans called The Dream Team. Casee is immensely proud to be a member of this community, which is packed with supportive, talented, amazing people. So far 7 dream team members have reached their targets on AKA or Sellaband with the support of this community, which is also lucky enough to have the expertise of producer Pete Strobl to call on. If that isn't enough to persuade you to check them out, we don't know what is: They are on Facebook and can be found here and via the links page.

SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT FROM CASEE WILSON
After several months that have been sadly more frustrating than amazing, I have made the decision to withdraw from Sellaband, and to instead move my profile across to AKA Music, which has the sort of schematic that Sellaband originally had prior to the plan and incentive changes that were brought into play recently.
For those of you who are unaware of the situation, when I joined Sellaband, the agreement was that artists could fundraise to a target of $50,000 and then Sellaband would sort out recording, production etc. Sellaband recently changed their contract so that now they take 10% of that $50,000 (or whichever your fundraising budget is) and for this, the artist is themselves responsible for organising a studio, incentives and writing a business plan. This was fine to begin with, I was happy to learn that side of the business. However, the implementation on Sellaband's website has been incoherent, and as a result, I've spent much of the last month and a half with no clear incentive list, after it was removed by Sellaband for reasons that I have never been appraised of.
This is, I'm afraid, the proverbial straw. I'm spending so much time stressing about how to Make Stuff Work that I'm losing time I should be spending writing, recording, gigging and promoting. I think that Sellaband was/could have been incredible in concept, but design and implementation has unfortunately let it down.
So, I'm stepping back to basics. AKA Music offer the same set-up that Sellaband originally offered but in euros instead of dollars and at 5 euros a pop. My profile is here.
I hope sincerely that all of you will continue to support me. I will be offering private incentives as I intended on Sellaband - including the chance for someone to not only come into the studio with me but be actively involved in a song and credited as a musician on the resulting album.
If you have any questions or comments, please do not hesitate to contact me on caseewilsonmusic@googlemail.com and I'll do my very best to answer your questions.
Thank you all so very very much for coming with me this far on my journey. I have been awestruck and astounded by the amount of loyalty, support and wellwishing from all of you. I apologise for what will seem like a sudden change, but the issues with Sellaband's functionality have been ongoing for some time. I hope that you will still be with me on the other side!
